My friend Bob wrote a charming analysis of his current financial situation using the style and skills of the job that's to thank for that situation.
Inspired, I do the same, though sadly not as charming. As a home study:
"Robert is a single male, 29 years old living alone in a one-one in Midtown Miami. No pets, no frequent visitors. Locals and national background checks returned no hits. The home was adequate for his needs, though slightly untidy. Food in the refrigerator and pantry was extremely limited. No apparent hazards present, with the exception of a sliding glass patio door without appropriate child safety guards. Robert reports no guns, alcohol, or drugs in the home.
Robert has a living mother, father, half-sister and half-brother. He reports he is close to his mother and father, though only has limited contact with his sister and brother. Robert reports his mother was primary discipliner in childhood home. He reports punishment as being mostly time-outs or withheld privileges. He reports limited use of corporal punishment, though denied any marks or bruises or the use of belts or other objects.
Robert denied history of drug abuse, sexual abuse (victim or perpetrator), arrests, suicidal ideation, or other mental disorders. Robert denied any known physical or medical conditions. No reported family history.
Robert currently works full time (M-F) as an attorney for a state agency. He leaves for work around 8am and returns before 7pm daily. He is not currently participating in any community or civic organizations. He reports he was raised Southern Baptist, though does not now attend church. Robert enjoys reading, watching short movies on the internet, and eating cookies.
Robert's income only marginally overcomes his expenses. His primary sources of income are from working and a school loan repayment program. In 2008, rent accounted for 24.69% of his expenditures. Robert's current net worth is -$197,437.50.
At this time, Robert would be recommended for temporary or permanent placement. He would first, however, need to arrange proper daycare, increase the amount of food in his home, and install safety locks on the patio doors. Further, it is highly suggested that Robert move into a larger, cheaper apartment to offset the expenses of having a new family."
A family? A lot would be different if I had one of those.
